“Sweco Architects” are a group of over 200 architects within Sweco GmbH and its subsidiary Jo. Franzke Generalplaner GmbH. The former “Ludes Generalplaner GmbH” was merged with Sweco GmbH on 15 June 2018. Sweco stands for high technical quality, commitment to customer relationships and responsibility for project success. Together with their colleagues from Technical Building Equipment (TGA) and Structural Design, Sweco Architects implement ambitious projects. The integrated support of construction projects and the comprehensive consideration of customer requirements are at the centre of their activities. In the 2019 World Architecture 100 Ranking carried out by the British magazine Building Design (BD), Sweco occupies 6th place and therefore ranks among the ten largest architecture firms worldwide. With more than 1,200 architects, we are the largest architecture office in Europe.
Modern buildings offer their users a combination of functionality, security and aesthetics. Sweco’s architects and engineers plan buildings that stand the test of time, while also being good places to live and work.
We represent a holistic approach and ensure that supporting structures are in harmony with the building design and the planned interior design.
In the process, we harmonise innovative and economical supporting structures with appealing architecture.
Whether new construction, reconstruction or renovation of buildings – we are there to support you, create utilisation concepts, take over the structural design and write appraisal reports. We support you from the competition consultation for the architects to the planning and calculation of the buildings to the construction supervision, project supervision and technical building equipment. The focus is on the individual, goal-oriented resolution of tasks. While technology is the starting point for the considerations, we always take into account comfort, ecology, sustainability and future viability.
